Big Brother 2022 LIVE — Season 24 cast forced to do 'humiliating' tasks as they compete in porta-potty challenges | The Sun

BIG Brother season 24 kicked off on Wednesday as the first Head of Household competition saw houseguests being slimed in porta-potties and hanging from t-shirts.

The 16 contestants started their summer in the BB Motel, the nickname of this year's Big Brother house, by competing in different games in the house's backyard.

Because it was decorated like a music festival to go along with this season's BB Fest theme, the houseguests were split into three groups - the portapotties, the merch stand, and the piercing tent.

Different games at each station determined three winners that would be sent to the main stage to compete for the first HoH title.

The contestants had to answer questions correctly or get covered with blue slime in the portapotties, put fake piercings on their faces, or hang from a suspended t-shirt for as long as they could.

Elvis impersonator Daniel Durston became this season's first HoH, while football coach Pooch became the "backstage boss," meaning that he's safe for the week - but he can't vote or compete.

However, the backstage boss has to pick three other people to be backstage bosses as well - except that they won't be safe from eviction. Pooch chose Brittany, Alyssa, and Paloma to go into jeopardy.

What is the Power of Veto?

The winner of this competition has the power to remove a contestant from the eviction block.

If a houseguest chooses to use the Power of Veto (PoV), the HoH must put up a replacement nominee for eviction.

The holder of the PoV is protected from eviction.

Unlike HoH competitions, the HoH is allowed to participate in the PoV competition, as well as the two nominees.

However, only six total contestants participate in the PoV competition; three houseguests who are not on the block or HoH are selected at random.

Lisa Donahue became the first female winner in Big Brother history after winning season 3 in 2002.

After the show, the former bartender went on to start a career in photography and launched her own company in Los Angeles.

Where is Will Kirby now?

Will Kirby won the second season of Big Brother in 2001.

After starring on the show, the aesthetic dermatologist famously hosted the NBC dating show Love Shack, and later appeared on six episodes of Bravo's Battle of The Network Reality Stars.

He also won the celebrity edition of The Price is Right in 2016.

In 2022, Will portrayed the role of Karales the Bounty Hunter in The Book of Boba Fett.

He tied the knot with Erin Brodie in 2017 but filed for divorce shortly after in July 2021.

What is the Head of Household?

The houseguest who wins this title is rewarded with their own bedroom, and is responsible for nominating two of the other houseguests for eviction.

The Head of Household (HoH) is safe from eviction that week and is not allowed to participate in the following week’s HoH competition, except for the final HoH competition of the season.

Where is the first BB winner now?

Eddie McGee was crowned the first Big Brother winner back in 2000.

After the show, he went on to start a career as an actor and has been seen in several productions, including Confidant, The Angel, Drop Dead Roses, and The Human Race.

Eddie has also had guest appearances on popular shows like NCIS: Los Angeles, Chicago Med, and Law & Order.

Big Brother fans have the chance to weigh in on the next eviction night.

Even though Pooch put Paloma, Alyssa, and Brittany's spots in the house in jeopardy, you can cast up to 10 votes for whoever you think should stay.

The backstage boss, sweating profusely, explained that he will give the three other boss cards to the contestants that lost their respective games first.

That means Paloma, Alyssa, and Brittany are all backstage bosses for the week - they might be in danger of going home on eviction night.

Pooch is safe as the backstage boss.

Daniel is safe as the HoH.

Now, three houseguests will be chosen to put their games in jeopardy by becoming backstage bosses.

The backstage boss can not be evicted and is not allowed to vote on evictions.

Being the backstage boss means that Pooch has the power to pick three other houseguests to send backstage - but they won't be safe from eviction, unlike Pooch.

"Usually, being backstage is a perk... but not at BB fest," Julie said.

The first Head of Household competition has Turner, Monty, and Daniel racing to put together drum sets.

The first to complete the set will become the HoH, meaning that they'll be safe from eviction and get to sleep in a room of their own.

Daniel is the first Head of House for the summer!

Ameerah, Alyssa, Daniel, Indy, and Michael are being forced to hold onto t-shirts at the merch stand as they hang from the air.

Whoever holds onto the shirt the longest moves on to the main stage for the HOH competition.

Daniel hung for the longest time, beating Michael out for the HOH competition.

Brittany, Taylor, Joseph, Turner, and Terrence competed to hang piercings on their faces in a specific order.

Turner is the winner of the challenge, meaning he'll be joining Monty on the main stage for the HOH competition.

Though all remaining contestants answered quickly, Jasmine answered the slowest and so she was slimed.

Nicole answered wrong and has been eliminated by way of blue slime.

Monty and Kyle remain to hear the last conversation and MONTY was named the winner after Kyle also got slimed.

Monty will move on to compete live in the HOH competition on the main stage.

Paloma, Monty, Jack, Tyler, and Nicole are competing in a game called "Potty Talk" where they'll hear recordings of "festivalgoers" talking and try to answer questions correctly about the numbers repeated.

The portapotties might get "messy" so the contestants have to wear goggles as they play the four rounds.

Though all of the contestants answered correctly, Paloma answered last so she was covered in blue slime.

The games will play out one at a time. The winner of each three games will move on and compete in another game on the main stage to be the Head of Household.

Pooch will not compete in the three games, but more about his place in the competitions will be explained later.

The portapotties group will go first.

Pooch got the backstage boss ticket while the rest of the contestants were sorted into three sections.

Last four guests have arrived

Bus driver Terrence Higgins, 47, is one of the contestants competing for the end-of-summer prize this season.

Brazilian flight attendant Indy Santos said she wants to "get in the game, get the money, and be successful."

Football coach Joe Pucciarelli, nicknamed Pooch, is joining the house along with content designer Ameerah Jones.

Lesbian ex-cop Nicole Layog is entering the house, along with hippie Matt Turner, bodybuilder and lawyer Joseph Abdin, and clinical hypnotherapist and bellydancer Brittany Hoopes.

Host Julie reminded the audience that half of the house guests have arrived.

Once all of the contestants have arrived, an "epic night of competition" will begin - the first Head of Household will be chosen and Julie promised that the first big twist of the summer is coming tonight.

Beauty Queen Taylor said that she's used to being "good and nice," but being on the show brings her a unique opportunity to be sneaky and lie.

Taylor Hale, Alyssa Snider, Daniel Durston, and Michael Bruner are now entering the house and finding their tickets to BB Fest.

The house's backyard is decorated like a music festival.

The tickets that the contestants hold allow them to compete in three areas: the portapotties, piercing tent, and merch stand.

Each of the locations will have a game. The game winners will determine who is continuing in the competition.

Paloma Aguilar, Monte Taylor, Jasmine Davis, and Kyle Capener are sent into the house to find tickets to "BB Fest."

The four are ecstatic to explore the decorated house as they find their tickets before heading to the backyard.

The Season 24 premiere of Big Brother is live NOW on CBS.
